Explore LGBT History, Activism, Culture and ruins.

Join Peruvian native, and connoisseur of LGBT life, Jesus Napancca, and Laura Tyson, director of True Nature Journeys, for this behind-the-scenes look at the state of LGBT rights in a developing nation of South America.

The inaugural trip next April 23 to May 4, will include the highlights of Peru – the Incan city of Cusco, the beautiful Sacred Valley and the stunning stonework of Machu Picchu (“The Lost City of the Incas”). Besides time for visiting the markets and ruins of the small towns of the Sacred Valley, the trip hosts will be conducting grassroots exploration of the history, activism, and culture of LGBT Peru.

“Our intention is to meet the local women and men who are on the forefront of promoting equal rights for LGBT citizens. We will visit the staff and directors of gay rights and LGBT support organizations in Lima to learn about their work, and will dig deep into Cusco to find the still mostly hidden gay community,” says Laura.
