Celebrating 30 Years of the Rainbow – 2008

Wow.  I can remember seeing one of the first on the Castro during Pride Week.
I carried a mile-long flag down Park Avenue during the Stonewall 25 celebration, two decades later.
And I have seen the 8-colored rainbow (with the original design colors of pink and teal added) that Key Westers marched from sea to sea … images were flashed internationally and that put them back on the gay and lesbian resort map.
For four years, Rainbow Tourism has exclusively used the 8 color rainbow in its logo, and encouraged others to to the same.  Hopefully it won’t take another 30 years till we’re all under the same umbrella.
